Emma Lillian was born in 1931 and she married Warren Rudolph Jensen on April 16, 1955. He was born in Mount Vernon, NY on October 17, 1926. He retired after 20 years as a Sergeant with the New York State Police. Warren then became Chief of Police in Chatham, NY and after that the Attendance Office for the Chatham School District where he worked until his death on January 28, 1985. Emma was named after two of her Grandmothers, Emma (Reusser) Badertscher and Lillian (Barnes) Hammon. Emma lives in a house they built across the street from the Badertscher homestead in Austerlitz. Emma and Warren raised three foster children as their own; Joe Meaney, Betty Meaney and Patty Hartl who are just as much a part of the Badertscher family as anyone born into it.
